Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
CarLog is built around a simple rule: your data belongs to you and stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. CarLog has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs and no tracking of any kind. The app does not send your data to us or to anyone else.
Where your data lives
Everything you enter — vehicles, fill-ups, costs, repairs, reminders, documents and photos — is stored locally in the app's private storage on your phone. There is no CarLog server.
Backups
Android's built-in device backup (Android Auto Backup) may include CarLog's data in your own Google Drive backup, controlled by your device settings and readable only by your Google account. We have no access to it.
Purchases
The optional subscription is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. Purchases are governed by Google Play's terms and privacy policy.
Notifications
Service reminders use local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not involve any network communication.
Permissions
- Camera / photos — only when you attach a photo to a document, vehicle or parking spot.
- Location — only when you save a parking spot. The location is stored on your device.
- Notifications — to deliver the reminders you schedule.
Each permission is requested only when the related feature is first used, and every feature works without granting the others.
Your rights
You can export your data from the app at any time, and delete all of it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. Since we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
