06 Questions
Asked before installing
Where is my data stored?
Locally on your phone, in the app's private storage. There is no FuelTally server and no account. Android's built-in backup can include FuelTally in your own Google Drive device backup, so a reinstall or a new phone restores your data.
Does FuelTally work offline?
Completely. Every feature works without a connection — airplane mode changes nothing.
What do I actually pay for?
Only the Google Maps features: place suggestions and fetching distance or a route. They cost us money on every request. Everything else - vehicles, fuel-ups, costs, repairs, documents, reminders and the mileage log with PDF export - is free, with no trial and no read-only mode.
Which units and currencies does it support?
Kilometres or miles, litres or gallons, and consumption as L/100 km, MPG (US) or MPG (UK). Every expense stores its own currency, so fill-ups abroad stay correct.
Which languages is FuelTally available in?
English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. The app follows your device language automatically.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. FuelTally is currently available for Android only.
How is fuel consumption calculated?
With the full-tank method: mark a fill-up as a full tank and FuelTally uses the distance and volume between full tanks to compute real consumption — more accurate than dashboard estimates.
